Back to business……..Entrecard!

I swore I was not going to write about Entrecard at all but I just cannot resist. It’s been the talk of the affiliate marketing world for ages now and people never seem to get bored. You will see that I use it, but to be honest, not frequently and not passionately.
My experience has been that this is a great program for new starters and/or anyone who has enough time on their hands to click like crazy all day. As a new blog you will undoubtedly experience a good flow of traffic to start with as yours will be cheap. In the long run though you will no doubt get bored of clicking and even with all the powerdropping and sitehoppin available to you, I don’t see it as bringing you any benefit once your initial promotion has been done. Don’t get me wrong, you can leave your site listed, check it once a week and still get 20-40 hits per day but the hits will only really be visiting to drop their own card and run. This type of traffic is hard to convert into readership!
Here’s a little tip!
I use Entrecard as a way to increase my readership by being very selective about who, what and where I advertise and also who I accept to advertise on mine (I’ll be writing a post about that shortly). The biggest benefit I have gained from Entrecard is this. I bought a stack of Entrecard credits from I-Tong and used this to purchase items in the shop. Seriously, save yourself the nightmare of all that clicking and buy some credits - they were $5 for 1000 last I checked. Use those credits to buy stumbles, diggs and a whole host of goods that will increase your traffic. I get thousands of hits a day using this technique and rather than the ‘click for a click method’, I also get a more targeted group of visitors who come for some reason other than to drop their card!
