Got Firefox?

I’ll not dwell on this one too long but version 3 of the increasingly popular web browser Firefox is going on general release today. In addition to that Mozilla are looking to set a world record for the most downloads in 24 hours.

Firefox has long been regarded as the browser of choice for the more ’informed’ internet users and, as a user myself, I can only say that for any budding webmaster out there it is a must have tool. Firefox 3 promises to make it possible for you to work faster and more efficiently on the web.

15,000 improvements to an already brilliant browser can’t be wrong!

You can download Firefox 3 before it’s released! Go to http://digg.com/software/Download_Firefox_3_0_before_it_s_released :)

I wouldn’t use anything but Firefox (although Opera is reasonable…) I only ever use IE to see what my web pages look like to non-firefox visitors (something I would recommend everyone does).
But the new version of Firefox hasn’t updated for me yet.
Guess I’ll wait a little longer rather than clicking that link - sorry :)

I’m with Zania. Why would anyone not use Firefox? The only time I don’t use it is when I’m on my laptop, which is a Mac. Firefox is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW on Mac’s for some reason. So I use Opera or Safari.

I am one of the few! I have been fighting the power for years, but only because I probably don’t know what I’m missing. Little things annoy me about FF. I think it’s slower. I hate how new windows open as new tabs (because I like to do the ALT+TAB thing to swap windows quickly) and I don’t like how it can be tricky to get the entire address highlighted at the top with a double click. These are totally lame and quastionable things but sticking with IE is just comfortable.

BUT… I might be ready to make the move. It’s way overdue.

@ all: I actually use nothing other than firefox. It took me a long time to make the switch but now I am so used to it I cannot think about using anything else. I don’t yet use a mac but that is going to be my next switch.

    *Update*
Firefox was downloaded 8.3 million times in the first 24hrs!!
