I have recently been through a lot of changes with my blog and have the feeling that I am moving ever closer to that dream we all have of working from home in pj’s as full on professional bloggers. Since my change of theme I have been asking you all for some feedback and thank you all for such wonderful comments and emails! Whilst many of you feel like I have what it takes, there was one recurring point that you all chose to make!

Q: So I got my nice new theme and I’m building some quality content up here, but what is the one thing thats missing? Anyone? Bueller…..Bueller?

A: Branding thats what…. a distinctive logo! Something that identifies me from all the other bloggers out there and shouts out…hey, thats The Affiliate Post!

You will find that as a blogger you use logos more and more, be it on your own site, your entrecards, your gravatars and more importantly your advertising. You should not underestimate the power of a good logo. Now, being poor at this sort of thing myself I have set about to find a trustworthy designer for my readers and boy have I got something for you.

    I use Digital Point too, you open a contest, get a ton of options. You can’t beat it, just because those guys aren’t at design firms doesn’t mean they don’t have talent. Sometimes the guys that are hungry are better. Check out my site, I don’t think I could have done better if I had paid someone $500 bucks. I got it for 35.

    Nice plug for Forest. :) You really can’t beat 9 bucks. You could sign up to Pepperjam Network through AP’s other post and then have enough to pay for the logo design PLUS have a buck left over!

    Thanks so much for the plug…. I am just starting in this new online business venture but do have tons of real world experience.

    My work is fast / professional and personal.

    I have joined the competitions on Digital Poiint before and sadly I have had my ideas copied a few times and offered by someone else at a lower price. That is the main problem with DP from a designers POV but hey that’s life.

    Basically my prices are rock bottom right now and I am willing to chat personally with anyone who is interested in some work.
